change of venue and date - Soooo.. congratulations everyone, we did find the perfect venue. The NETech are giving us a room for our presentations. They bumped the RAM up to 3GB, and if you're going to be running Vista even part time you'll want as much RAM as you can get. Re: [linux-421] I need advice about buying a laptop... - To shrink Vista, you can use an external tool (I used gparted on an ubuntu live cd) but after that, Windows needs to be "repaired" which is usually a simple process, as long as they give you the dvds to do it with. The big CRT monitor is going to be nasty if no one else wants it, since it would cost you serious money (about $25) just to throw it away because CRT monitors are considered "hazardous waste" due to the amount of lead shielding.
