Re: [linux-58] FreeBsd - I think it has been changed since, but the Swflug.org server used to be a K6-2 450mhz computer, so your hardware specs should be fine for a modest webserver. I used to be a big fan of overclocking, but unless you just want to tweak stuff with the components you have you shouldn't need to. RE: [linux-58] Backtrack 3 on EEEPC - We use our Blackberry 8830s tethered to Fedora Core 8 on Dell Latitude D810's at work and it works fine. Backtrack 3 on EEEPC - I've been debating buying an EEEPC and installing BT3 (Haven't honestly upgraded to BT yet, been using an outdated Auditor disk, and sometimes STD) directly on the drive for use as the primary OS (as opposed to USB boot). You need the PPC verison of Ubuntu which, I hate to tell you, is no longer supported as (even more unfortunate) PPC is a dead architecture. Debian still supports PPC.
