I've been housebound while trying to recover from this flu like thing I got last week. You know, bouncing off the walls with boredom. I decided to set my computer up to use TOR and the onion servers (for anonymity) and was checking to see if Ubuntu has a "tor" .deb package available. It does.
I came across TORCS (`apt-get install torcs`) which is a GPL licensed racing simulator. It runs on Windows, MacOS X and Linux/BSD. I gave it a whirl on my notebook computer. ![]() Yep, that's me in the Ferrari trying like hell to stay on the pavement while cruising at 100+ MPH. The rest of the cars have left me in the dust but I'm still learning. I'm doing all this with the keyboard because I don't have the steering wheel, etc... some gamers have. All that stuff is supported/configurable too. The rule of thumb is that if your OS supports it - the game will too. Got a few minutes? Got kids? Give this one a try! - Frank |
