Learn about and the how-to with Linux and other Open Source alternatives. This is a group for women of all skill levels to learn about new alternatives in computing. A softer introduction to geeking, linuxchix is a different sort of community. no one is excluded, you are warned, there may be knitting and pedicure discussions with no apologies.

We're a group of folks who use / are interested in scalable computing technologies, mostly Hadoop, HBase, and "NoSQL" platforms. We've had attendees and speakers from Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, Visible Technologies, Drawn to Scale, U.S. National Labs, and many more! Groups are usually 20-60 attendees.
